"By 2033, the Global South will host 1.2 billion young people ages 15 to 24. Unless current trends are reversed, only 480 million will attend school and 420 million will have jobs (often precarious ones), leaving 300 million inactive - negatively impacting lifelong opportunities, earnings, mobility, and mental health."
To address the problem of youth unemployment, young people must have a greater say in the policies that directly affect them. Recognizing this, S4YE formed the S4YE Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in 2018, with 17 talented and enterprising youth from around the world as original members. As of today, the group is 120 members strong! Click here to learn more about the newly announced 2023-2024 Cohort.
