ILO Toolkit for Quality Apprenticeships Volume 2: Guide for Practitioners

This toolkit highlights recent innovations and suggests strategies for strengthening apprenticeships in the fast-changing world of work. Considering technological advances, digitalization, and the growing importance of digital skills, it offers over 20 digital tools that can play an integral part in delivering, monitoring, and evaluating apprenticeship programs.

Operational Guidelines for Employment and Youth Employability Services (YES) centres in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia

This guidance explains how employability centers can take the essential steps required for them to offer basic services: registering jobseekers, registering vacancies, job matching and referring jobseekers to employers, collecting and disseminating LMI and statistics, and counseling in some cases. It concludes with recommendations for revising the current service protocols, with a particular focus on registration and vacancy handling.

VET Toolbox

The VET Toolbox supports countries by strengthening their capacity to implement VET and labor market reforms that enhance labor market relevance and employability for all, particularly by: applying evidence-based VET and labor market programming; operationalizing private sector involvement in VET and labor market activities, and, enhancing the inclusion of vulnerable groups in VET and formal and informal labor market activities. The VET Toolbox is a multi-partner project between Enabel, LuxDev, British Council, GIZ, and AFD.

It’s a data-driven approach for public and private institutions to evaluate themselves against a global benchmark of good practices. Vitae identifies employability gaps and proposes practical interventions to equip an institution to chart a path to transformation.

Power Learning Tool

The tool includes training, assessment, and digital learning tools for companies to strengthen employees' soft skills. This tool focuses on a set of  10 soft skills deemed essential in the world of work‒ communication, higher-order thinking, collaboration, positive self-concept, adaptability, interdisciplinarity, resilience, entrepreneurial thinking, empathy, inclusiveness.

IFC has developed this toolkit that provides practical, detailed tools to help companies assess and address equality and inclusion obstacles in the workplace, across the supply chain, and in community engagement and investment. It includes easy-to-use techniques and tools to transform a broad gender strategy into a supportive working reality for women and men.
