Key Highlights

The (International Accreditation Forum) IAF licenses delivery of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, a globally recognized Non-Formal Education and Learning framework. The IAF works with 64 national operators who have an exclusive license to deliver the Award within that country or territory. The IAF directly licenses over 460 organizations spread across a further 65 countries.

In 2023 over 1.1m young people started their Award journey. The Award is delivered to young people through partner organizations which already work with young people. This allows the Award to reach young people from a huge range of backgrounds crossing socio-economic and community divides.

Young people’s participation in the Award is dependent on the assistance of hundreds of thousands of volunteers who support them through the sections of the Award.
